600 km from Accra
– Where dreams become reality
When we dreamed of six locations across five regions of Ghana, we didn’t know exactly where this journey would lead us. It turned out that its heart beats 600 km north of Accra, in Tamale. That’s where we organized a special gathering for 120 participants of the Duafe Sisterhood program—a space created for girls and young women, where they can feel safe, heard, and supported.

During the workshops and artistic performances, there was no shortage of smiles and energy. But what moved us the most were the stories of the participants—stories filled with courage, pain, and determination to change their lives for the better. Every word reaffirmed our belief that our mission to create safe spaces in schools and encourage open conversations on important topics is not only necessary but absolutely essential.
We are not stopping. Year after year, we continue to grow, reaching more and more girls who, with our support, find the strength to change their world.
